The RSCA presents a calendar of upcoming Regent Square events through this website as well as through the RSCA Newsletter. These events add to the unique character and sense of community in our neighborhood. RSCA sponsored events are listed in bold type. Other events in the Pittsburgh area can be found on several event calendars available here.

September, 2010

  • Monday, September 13, 2010, 7:00 PM - RSCA Board Meeting. WSCC, 7604 Charleston Ave, between S. Braddock and Milton Ave. Regular monthly meeting of the RSCA Board. All are welcome to attend these meetings to voice a community issue, volunteer to help, or just to find out what's going in Regent Square.   • Wednesday, September 15, 2010, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM - Walk in the Woods at Frick Park by the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy. Meet at the Frick Environmental Center. These popular Wednesday-night walks in the woods run from June through September, visiting a different regional park each week. Docents familiar with the parks and their neighborhoods provide a tour that touches on the history, ecology, and improvements to the parks over the years. The walks are free.   • September, 2010 - “Open House” at Mifflin Avenue United Methodist Church. All are invited to join the Mifflin Avenue United Methodist Church during the month of September to celebrate “Open House”. The Saturday Praise and Worship service begins at 6 p.m. Sunday morning begins with Christian Education for all ages beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Sunday morning worship service begins at 11:00 a.m. Child care is available during Sunday School and Worship for infants to preschoolers. After the Children's Message during worship, children from kindergarten through the 3rd grade are invited to participate in the Jr. Church Program. Every month, there is a Second Sunday Social (S3) following the 11:00 a.m. worship service. The members of the church look forward to meeting you. October, 2010

  • Saturday, October 2, 2010, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM - Rummage Sale/Bake Sale at Mifflin Avenue United Methodist Church. Many items for sale, such as housewares, collectibles, jewelry, books, crafts, Christmas decorations, toys, glassware, purses, baskets, linens, and much more. The United Methodist Women will be having a Bake Sale with a lot of yummy baked goods. Contact: For more information email office@mifflinave.org or call 412-731-2511.
