Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2016 Regent Square Yard Sale, braving the bad weather to make it such a great day for the community! We’ll see you on Saturday, May 20, 2017!
Each May, on the Saturday after Mother’s Day, RSCA hosts the beloved Regent Square Annual Yard Sale. Typically more than 100 houses participate and sell their wares on their front yards and in their garages, while residents and visitors stroll and browse for bargains. Visitors come from all over Pittsburgh for this annual event. For a small fee, sellers register their sale with the RSCA in order to be included on the Yard Sale Map with 3 items on the Hot List. In addition to printing the map, registration fees are used for advertising the sale to the Pittsburgh community – including newspaper ads, signage, and a banner across South Braddock Avenue.
2014’s event was one of the best yet, which included two new features. First, an expanded Hot List was available to sellers for an additional fee to list more than 3 interesting items, helping sellers and shoppers alike. Second, a donation drop-off was available at the end of the day in the CLASS parking lot so that, instead of returning unsold items into storage, sellers were able to take their goods and donate them to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Adding to the festivities, Biddle’s Escape – a 2014 RSCA Member! – joined in on the fun and hosted several food trucks during the Yard Sale.
RSCA is also proud to share that other people think that Yard Sale is pretty great, too! The Regent Square Annual Yard Sale was recognized twice this year:
